What Is a Renuvion Non-Surgical Brow Lift?

Renuvion (J-Plasma) non-surgical brow lift applies helium plasma combined with RF energy to the subperiosteal layer beneath the forehead, contracting forehead tissue and elevating the brow without an endoscope or fixation hardware. Only two 1.5 cm scalp incisions are needed. Forehead height is reduced by an average of 4.1 mm. Procedure time: approximately 30 minutes.

Your Eyes Haven't Shrunk –
Your Brows Have Drooped

"My eyelids feel heavy and everyone says I look tired all the time."

"I need to raise my brows to look alert, but Botox only lasts 3 months..."

"I want a brow lift, but the thought of a long incision and long recovery has kept me putting it off for years."

As we age, the forehead's support structures weaken, causing the brows to gradually descend – making the eyes appear smaller and the face look heavier. This is not a double eyelid issue. It's a change in brow position itself.

The Real Problem

It's Not Your Eyelids –
It's a Structural Problem with Your Forehead

When the periosteum and fascia supporting the forehead loosen, the brow descends and the upper eyelid appears to sag. Botox is temporary. Thread lifts are unsuitable for the forehead.

Hooded Eyelids · Sleepy Look

Descended brows cause upper eyelid skin to fold over, giving a perpetually fatigued appearance

Deepening Frown Lines

Unconsciously raising the forehead to open the eyes further deepens forehead and glabellar lines

Widened Forehead

As brows descend, the forehead appears taller and facial proportions are disrupted

Limits of Botox

Requires repeat injections every 3-4 months without correcting the underlying brow position

Brow ptosis progressing after age 35 responds best to structural correction – but that doesn't always mean a large incision.

The Solution

No Endoscope. No Hardware.
Tissue Contraction Lifts the Brow.

Renuvion applies helium plasma + RF energy to the subperiosteal layer of the forehead, physically contracting forehead tissue to elevate the brow.

Because tissue contraction fixes the brow in its new position, no screws, anchors, or hardware are required.

Why the Subperiosteal Layer?

The subperiosteal layer sits directly above the frontal bone. With few blood vessels, it offers a low-bleeding, safe treatment plane.

This layer contains the arcus marginalis, the key structure anchoring the brow to the bone. By releasing it and applying Renuvion energy, the brow naturally rises.

Renuvion's tissue contraction replaces the role of screws and anchors used in traditional endoscopic brow lift.

Skin – Subcutaneous fat – Frontalis – Subperiosteal layer – Frontal bone

Renuvion contracts tissue at the subperiosteal level

Contraction = Natural Fixation

Collagen denatures and contracts at 85°C, anchoring the brow in its new position – no screws or anchors needed

Forehead Height Reduction

Unlike endoscopic lift (which can elongate the forehead), Renuvion reduces forehead height by an average of 4.1 mm

Zero Scar Alopecia

No skin excision means no tension-induced scarring or hair loss. Confirmed in all 26 study patients

LaPrin Protocol

Brow Lift + Comprehensive Facial Program

Renuvion brow lift works well standalone, but synergy is maximized within LaPrin's full facial protocol.

1

Upper Face Structural Correction

Renuvion Brow Lift

Subperiosteal helium plasma RF elevates the brow and reduces forehead height. No endoscope or fixation hardware. Approx. 30 minutes.

2

Volume & Skin Quality Restoration

Fat Grafting + Resurfacing

Autologous fat restores temple and forehead volume, while helium plasma resurfacing improves wrinkles and skin texture.

3

Lower Face Harmony

Facelift · Neck Lift Combination

Lifting only the upper face can disrupt balance. Addressing the jawline and neck simultaneously creates natural overall harmony.

In the published clinical study, 73% also received a facelift, 73% a neck lift, and 77% fat grafting in the same session. LaPrin designs your full facial balance from forehead to jawline.

Eyes appear smaller due to eyelid drooping

Brow position correction is often the priority before double eyelid surgery

Tired of repeated Botox every 3-4 months

Seeking a structural, longer-lasting solution rather than temporary muscle relaxation

Want results without a large incision or long recovery

Desire the effectiveness of endoscopic brow lift without the extensive downtime

Want to reduce a wide or tall forehead

Renuvion reduces forehead height by an average of 4.1 mm – brow elevation and forehead reduction simultaneously

Concerned about scarring or hair loss

No skin excision means no scar alopecia risk – confirmed 0% in clinical study of 26 patients

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Renuvion brow lift different from endoscopic brow lift?
Endoscopic brow lift requires 3-4 scalp incisions, an endoscope, and fixation hardware (screws, anchors). Renuvion brow lift uses only two 1.5 cm scalp incisions and no endoscope. Helium plasma tissue contraction replaces fixation hardware, so no foreign material remains. Procedure time is approximately 30 minutes vs. 1-2 hours for endoscopic brow lift.
How long do results last?
The published study tracked patients for up to 3 years 3 months with stable brow elevation maintained throughout. This approaches the 5-10 year durability of endoscopic brow lift. Individual results vary by skin condition and the rate of aging. Long-term follow-up studies are ongoing.
Will there be visible scarring or hair loss?
The 1.5 cm scalp incision is closed with staples and heals quickly with minimal tension. No skin is excised, so tension-induced scarring is minimal. Scar alopecia (hair loss from scarring) was reported in 0 of 26 consecutive patients in the clinical study.
Will my forehead get longer?
Endoscopic brow lift can elongate the forehead, making it unsuitable for patients who already have a long forehead. Renuvion contracts tissue, reducing forehead height by an average of 4.1-0.9 mm. Patients with a wide or long forehead can achieve brow elevation and forehead reduction simultaneously.
Will I get a "surprised look"?
Clinical data shows that the lateral brow elevates the most (+2.1 mm) while the medial brow elevates less (+1.5 mm). This differential creates a natural arch rather than a "surprised" expression. Symmetry is confirmed intraoperatively with the patient in a seated position.
What is the recovery like?
A Coban compression dressing is applied for 24 hours, then removed. A facelift garment is worn for 1 week. Bed rest is recommended for the first 24-48 hours. Strenuous activities are permitted after 2 weeks. Recovery may be slightly longer when combined with additional procedures such as a facelift.
